彼得謝勒（Peter Sellers）飾演剛到好萊塢發展的一名印度演員，在拍片現場造成一片混亂之後，陰差陽錯地受邀至總裁的豪宅參加一場盛大的好萊塢式宴會，他企圖彌補先前犯下的錯誤，卻仍是狀況百出，直到宴會賓客都為之抓狂。劇情看似簡單，但經過彼得謝勒和導演Edward Blake合作無間的默契設計下，妙趣橫生的笑點源源不絕，如鞋子掉進水池、找不到廁所、馬桶水箱壞了之類的細節都可衍生出令人發噱的情節，彼得謝勒充滿發揮賈克大地式的幽默喜感，卻又帶有英式冷笑話特有的嘲諷，絕對能讓觀者盡興體會經典上乘喜劇...
